The first Saturday of every month is dachshund day in Los Altos. I love to take a picture of the dachshunds, especially when I can see them in a group. This time, there were puppies for the photo op!
So, "The first Saturday of every month is dachshund day in Los Altos."
I hope you understand you can't just casually throw these types of things our there. You're neglecting, ignoring, or otherwise overlooking the fact that to the rest of the dog-owning world, having 12 special days per year for a single breed in a single town at least requires some explanation. Back story even. Historical context. Something!
So, enlighten us: what the heck is up with "Dachshund day"?
Tomokee is a labrador-some-kind-of-hound mixed breed dog who happens to to look just like a Beauceron, complete with double dewclaws. He was adopted from the Palo Animal Services in June, 2006. He was about 6 1/2 months old when we adopted him. He has very large platform-shoe-style feet. He will eat anything in site and is obsessed with playing with tennis balls.
Tomokee divides his time between Los Altos and San Francisco, California.
